How to Generate QR Codes

First, select the type of QR code to generate.

Second, fill out the relevant form.

Third, click "Generate QR Code." You will be presented with a QR Code graphic like the one on the right here. The graphic will be 350x350 pixels.

Fourth, right-click on the graphic and save it.

There is no charge for this service, but you must agree to the terms at the bottom of the page.

Using Your QR Codes

You can use the QR codes on business cards, advertisements, cell phone apps, or anywhere they are handy.

See the article on using QR Codes by Mark Anthony Germanos: Say Hello to QR Codes.

Download a QR Code Scanner for Your Phone

No matter which smart phone you have, there are many apps you can download to read (and even generate) QR codes. A particularly good one for the Droid is simply called QR Droid. But scanners keep evolving, so do a little research before you settle on one.
